Image intensifiers with flat glass output are the cheapest and simplest ones and that is why they
are widespread. There are a lot of night vision devices on the basis of these image intensifiers
such as night vision goggles PN-14K (with 18mm photocathod)
etc. 25mm tubes have a wider field of view and provide better observation conditions.
